Welcome back to Diane McConnell, our Hub Liason Librarian. She's back from spending a holiday in the wilderness that is Canada. (Hopefully I'll have some photos) Glad you're back and all safe Diane!

UCOL Open Day

Last week UCOL (at the same time as Massey University) ran their open day for potential new students. Every subject was represented there, including Vet Nursing, Touriusm, Hospitality, Information Systems, Electronics and Construction.

Fashion and Beauty Year One Students on the Catwalk

A few weeks ago, the first year Fashion and Beauty Students performed a show on the catwalk in the atrium. Here are a few pictures, well done all!

DVD/Video Collection Now Available

Most items in the Palmerston North Campus Video/DVD collection are available for borrowing from semester 2!

These items can be borrowed for 2 days.

To search, click on the Library Catalogue , press Search and select DVD / Video

New EbscoHost Interface

EbscoHost is rolling out a new search interface for it's databases.This interface is cleaner, faster, and more focused on finding the results you need. It has added features like timeline/visual search as well as Article Preview.

To try it out, go to the UCOL Library website, click on the EbscoHost information and choose New Features once the website loads up.

Lbrary Website Update

Over the last few days we've been updating the Library website with new information (in particular, the Whanganui Learning Hub)
This includes:

• Photocopying
• Library Service Assistants
• House Rules for the Computer Studios
• An Updated New Books List

Also on the Library website is information on the Web Blocking Procedure. If you find a website that you may need access to, please follow this procedure to try and get it unblocked.
